CACATIN Cup Finals: Coordinator Warns Finalists Against Hooliganism

As the finals of tomorrow’s maiden 7-aside CACATIN Football tournament gets closer, coordinator of the competition, Tayo Adeyemo has cautioned the finalists; Elite Talents Fc and Ahead Fc against any act of hooliganism at the match venue; saying that adequate security measure has been put on ground and anyone who triggers hooliganism will be severely dealt with.
According to him, a fine of N50,000 will be deducted from the winning purse of any team who caused violence or perpetuates act of hooliganism during and after the match.
Adeyemo who is the Chief Executive Officer of Wonderland Events, organisers of the tournament noted that the disciplinary Committee of the tournament after their meeting on Sunday to review the semi- final matches, took the following decisions
1. That Elite Talents Fc will pay a fine of N10,000 for late arrival of their license during their semi-final match.
2 That the team have a suspended fine of N30,000 for the unruly behaviour of one of their players, Abdullahi Apapa and that the fine will will be activated should Abdullahi be seen at the final.
The committee noted that Abdullahi threatened to deal with the coordinator during the final and as such he should not be seen within the vicinity of Abesan Youth Centre, venue of the finals and failure to adhere to this instruction, the team will be ready to provide his residence address to security agents.
The committee also said that the same decision applies to one Emeka of Ahead Fc who was the brain behind
the near scuffle that resulted after SGH and Ahead FC semi-final match
The coordinator further explained that the organisers are still holding on to the Elite Talents Jersey for the final since they can’t control their touts, warning the team not to do anything that will cause break down of law and order in the finals.
Adeyemo while stating that the two teams have been officially notified of the decisions, wished them success in the finals.
