NNL Shifts Resumption of Second Stanza to February 14

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced February 14, 2026, as the new date for the resumption of the second stanza of the 2025/2026 season.
The league body moved the restart forward by two weeks from the earlier scheduled date of January 31, 2026. The Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, Mr. Danlami Ananana, disclosed this development to the media on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to Ananana, the decision to adjust the resumption date was informed by logistics and other emerging circumstances, stressing that the move was made in the overall interest of the league to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated restart.
He advised clubs to take advantage of the break to resolve all outstanding logistical issues ahead of the resumption of matches.
Ananana also confirmed that all conferences of the league will resume action on the same date, February 14, 2026.
He said that the Nigeria National League remains committed to delivering an efficient and competitive season, with the adjustment aimed at maintaining high organizational standards across the board.
