AFCON Semi- Finals : Delta State Chapter of De Legacy Sports Club send word of encouragement to Eagles

As the Super Eagles prepare to meet Atlas Lions of Morocco this evening in the semi- finals of the 2025 AFCON, members of the Delta State Chapter of De Legacy Sports Club, have sent words of encouragement to the team urging them to beat the host nation and qualify for the finals

In a message signed by the Chairman of the chapter, Fredrick Adolor, they charged the team to remain focused and courageous and play with confidence, knowing that Nigerians stand firmly behind them.

“On behalf of millions of Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to you for the pride, passion, and resilience you continue to display on the African stage.

“Your performance so far at the AFCON has reminded us of who we are as a people; strong, determined, and unyielding in the face of challenges.

“Every match has shown your discipline, unity, and hunger to succeed. You have not only played football; you have carried the hopes, prayers, and joy of an entire nation.

“Let teamwork guide you, let discipline strengthen you, and let the green-white-green inspire you to give your very best.

The chapter further urged the team to go into every game believing that victory is possible, reminding them that AFCON trophy is within reach, and they have what it takes to bring it home, even as they charged the team to finish strong, play with determination and write their names boldly in the history of African football.

Meanwhile, President of the club, Prince Obiyim Happy Ehiedu has expressed confidence that the Super Eagles will beat Morocco today in their semi-final clash.

He stated that with the performance of the team since the commencement of the tournament, he has no doubt in his mind that they will come out victorious today and qualify for the finals

He however, advised the team not to be intimidated by the vociferous Moroccan crowd, vowing that members of his club will be fully on ground to cheer the team to victory.
