NFF Reopens Registration Portal for 2026 President Federation

The Nigeria Football Federation has reopened the registration portal for the 2026 President Federation Cup following persistent requests from several State Football Associations for an extension of the initial registration deadline.
In an official notice addressed to State FAs, and signed by Ruth Davids, Director of Competitions, the Federation announced that the registration window will now run from February 19 to February 27, 2026, providing a fresh opportunity for intending participating clubs to complete their registration and for already registered teams to update or upgrade their player lists.
The decision comes after it became evident that a number of clubs failed to meet the earlier stipulated guidelines and ultimatum set by the organizing body. While acknowledging the defaults, the Federation said the reopening of the portal represents a final concession to ensure broader participation in the prestigious national competition.
According to the directive, clubs that are yet to register must pay the stipulated registration fee along with an additional late registration fee of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦500,000.00) through Remita, as outlined in the earlier guidelines.
Similarly, clubs seeking to update or upgrade their previously submitted registration lists are required to pay a late registration fee of ₦500,000.00 via Remita in line with existing regulations.
The Federation made it clear that the extension is final, stressing that any further request for an extension beyond February 27, 2026, will not be entertained.
State Football Associations have been urged to promptly notify all affected clubs within their jurisdictions to ensure compliance before the new deadline.
