Pro -Wrestling Africa to Partner Ireland Professional Wrestling body

Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA) is proud to announce its intention to enter into a strategic partnership with leading professional wrestling promotions in Ireland; Nothern Ireland Professional Wrestling (NIPW), marking a major step towards global expansion and talent development.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in PWA’s mission to position Africa as a powerhouse in the global professional wrestling industry.

The proposed collaboration will focus on Talent Exchange Programs, basically providing African wrestlers opportunities to train and compete in Northern Ireland, while welcoming international athletes to Africa.

It will also foster joint wrestling events, co-hosting international wrestling shows and championships across both regions.

The collaboration will also result in training and development in the area of sharing technical expertise, coaching systems, and performance standards capacity building.

It will also entail enhancing referee training, event production, and wrestling promotion strategies and also see to global exposure, which is elevating African wrestling talent on to the international stage

This partnership aligns with PWA’s long-term vision to build a structured professional wrestling ecosystem in Africa, create career pathways for young wrestlers, strengthen Africa’s representation in global wrestling circuits, attract international investment and sponsorship into African wrestling and see to opportunities for Northern Ireland Wrestling.

For wrestling promotions in Northern Ireland, the collaboration offers; access to Africa’s emerging wrestling market, opportunities to host African wrestling talents, expansion of audience reach and brand visibility and cultural exchange through sports entertainment.

The partnership is expected to roll out in phases starting with formal Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the June 2026 championship in Belfast, Northern Ireland, engage in Pilot Talent Exchange Program, Joint Training Camps and Workshops in African as well as in Northern Ireland, First International Co-Branded Wrestling Event and then Long-Term League and Championship Integration.

According to the Secretary General of the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) Olusesan Olukoya; “This partnership with Northern Ireland Professional Wrestling is a bold step towards building a unified global wrestling community.

“It reflects our commitment to developing African talent and creating international platforms for growth and development.”

With this collaboration, Pro- Wrestling Africa continues to expand its global footprint, following similar engagements across Europe, the USA and other regions.

The partnership is expected to open new doors for athletes, promoters, and stakeholders in the wrestling industry.
