Oyo F.A. Distributes CAF Balls to Secondary Schools

In full compliance with the directive of the Confederation of Football, CAF, the Nigeria Football Federation through Oyo State Football Association, has distributed balls under CAF African Schools Programmes to schools across the 3 Senatorial zones of the state
In its drive to catch them young at the grassroots, promoting students participation in school sports, the Chairman of Oyo Football Association, His Royal Higness, Oba James Odeniran and his board visited some secondary schools across the three Senatorial zones in the state as they distributed and presented them the CAF balls.
Speaking with the school Principals , members of staff, and the students across the 3 Senatorial zones, the erudite football administrator noted that the aim of CAF is to discover hidden talents amongst students .
“The gesture was one of the programs initiated by Confederation of African Football (CAF) through the Nigeria Football Federation.”
” The selected schools were recognized for their participation and performance in school competitions over the years and they include:
Ilora Grammar School, Oyo, Bioku Grammar school, Lanlate, Nurudeen Grammar School 1, Ogbomoso and Iseyin Grammar School.
In his goodwill message, the Oyo F.A. Boss, said the initiatives were supported by CAF aimed at supporting school sports that will later produce more future stars in the years to come.
The retired CAF referee charged the students to be more focused, disciplined, and concentrate on their academics with sports.
Reacting, all the School Principals and game prefects across the zone appreciated the gesture and lauded the state FA for bringing them closer to the global football space.
“We sincerely appreciate CAF through Oyo State Football Association for recognizing us and giving us these super balls. This no doubt will bring us closer to the global football space and we will not take the NFF for granted”.
Other members of the board in his entourage include:
Comrade Ayangbile Isaac Olawale (Vice Chairman, Oyo State Football Association), Coach Kayode Ogunleye(John Kay), Mr. Michael Oladeni and Alhaji Azeez Adeniyi.
Others are ; Taiwo Adesola (Oyo State Football Association), Gbenga Adeseun, Dr.Segun Adesope and Coach Alimi Yusuf.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, 1st April, 2026, attention will shift to Ibadan Zone where the CAF balls will be distributed to selected schools.
