EPL : Arsenal suffer huge title blow with home defeat to Bournemout

Arsenal suffered a major setback to their Premier League title hopes with a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Goals from Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott gave Bournemouth a 2-1 victory at Emirates Stadium for a second season running.

Teenager Kroupi opened the scoring for the Cherries with a back-post finish before Viktor Gyokeres slammed home his penalty to take his tally to 18 goals in his debut campaign.

A penalty from Viktor Gyökeres cancelled out Junior Kroupi’s opener in the first half but as Mikel Arteta’s side pushed for a winner, Alex Scott scored the winner for the visitors at the Emirates Stadium.

The result means Arsenal remain nine points clear of Manchester City, but Pep Guardiola’s men have two games in hand.
