Former Ngor Okpala LGA vice chairman, Onuoha for burial Friday

The remains of  Hon. Chief Ray Uka Onuoha(a.k.a Raymorgan) will this Friday March 26, 2021 be laid to rest at his home country, in Umuorisha Umuohiagu of Ngor Okpala LGA.

Chief Onuoha(Idea of Umuohiagu), aged 73, was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and former executive vice chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, and died on Sunday 17th January, 2021 after a brief illness.

According to funeral programme released by the family, Hon. Onuoha’s body would depart Holy Rosary Hospital Mortuary Emekuku-Owerri on Thursday, March 25, for lying in state in his compound while interment takes place immediately after a Requiem Mass at St. Peters Catholic Parish, Onyeaghalanwanneya, near the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, SMICA, Owerri.

Until his demise, Chief Ray Uka Onuoha was the chairman of Umuorisha Village Assembly, a devout Christian who had served at various capacities in the Catholic Men’s Organization, CMO, both at station, parish, zonal and archdiocesan levels.

While alive, he was also reputed for his role in Community leadership having held several positions in Umuohiagu Development Union, UDU, and his pioneering role in facilitating the establishment of the Umuohiagu Water Scheme.

Onuoha was also the proprietor of the famous Raymorgan Comprehensive College Onyeaghalanwanneya, RCCO, as well as served as elected councilor of Logara/Obiangwu/ Umuohiagu Ward.

He was survived by his wife, Lolo Kate Onuoha, Chidiebere Onuoha, Uche Onuoha Esq,(sons), three daughters, a brother and a host of relatives too numerous to mention.
