Iloenyosi backs Promise to succeed as Heartland GM

By George Aluo

Ex international, Chikelue Iloenyosi has thrown his weight behind newly appointed Heartland FC acting General Manager, Promise Nwachukwu.

Iloenyosi while congratulating Nwachukwu said the former Golden Eaglet star has paid his dues and has got what it takes to stabilize the troubled Owerri side.

“Promise Nwachukwu played the game and he has also been involved in the running of the club over the years. He has acquired the needed experience and I see him doing well now that he is the club’s GM. Those of us in 042 Football Legends Association would support him fully,” Iloenyosi said.

Iloenyosi charged Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma to do more for the club insisting that with adequate funding Heartland would do well this term.

“Heartland has a good team and a sound coach…if the club is well funded, they will still end the season on a good note,” Iloenyosi said.

It would be noted that Promise Nwachukwu who was before now, Heartland’s Team Coordinator was over the weekend named the club’s acting GM after the power tussle between Imo Sports Commissioner Dan Ogu and erstwhile GM Ifeanyi Chukwudi saw Chukwudi losing out.
