Former Vice President of the nation’s soccer governing body, Chief Mike Umeh has tipped Enyimba to beat Pyramids in the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Umeh in a chat with newstap.com.ng further called on all football stakeholders in the country to rally support for the Aba giants, pointing out that they are the only club doing Nigeria proud in the continent.
Umeh charged Enyimba to face the Egyptians with the same kind of determination that saw them scale through the group stage hurdle in Aba against Orlando Pirates.
“Against Pirates, Enyimba played with determination and fought until the very last minute. They should go into the quarterfinals ties with that same fighting spirit. We should also rally support for the team. I see them beating Pyramids and going all the way in the competition,” Umeh said.
Enyimba would next Sunday May 16, face Pyramids away in Cairo while the return leg is billed for May 23 in Aba.
