Actu Fight Belgium set to partner with Pro Wrestling Africa in 2026

Actu Fight Belgium, a media platform based in Brussels, the Belgian Capital and headed by Herbots Didier (known round the wrestling world at Thierry Rhodan) has extended an invitation for an international gathering and official meetings with the Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) team.

Actu Fight Belgium is an arm of the Wanderer Kombat Federation (established in 2015 and among the most followed wrestling organizations in Belgium).

In the letter of invitation, the body noted that as a media platform, it will be pleased to facilitate media training, in the coming years which will be a professional development process that helps individuals (athletes, business leaders, celebrities, or spokes people) learn how to communicate effectively with the media and the public.

” The training will also teach how to communicate on camera, during interviews, or at live events so as to provide training on professional wrestling news coverage, photographic reporting, facilitate introductions, highlight this meeting on an international scale with special focus on Interview Preparation, Message Development, Body Language and Tone and Social Media Communication for the team members of the Pro Wrestling Africa representatives.

It would be recalled that the Secretary General of Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA), Olusesan Olukoya visited Belgium three times in 2024 and was able to discuss the upcoming training in the coming years for the athletes and officials to an extent.

PWA was officially founded on February 4, 2015, at a summit in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Olusesan Olukoya, a long-time promoter, manager, wrestling historian, columnist, and activist known for pushing the sport’s growth across Africa and internationally, is the scribe of the Federation.

The mission and vision of the African pro wrestling body is to revive, promote, and professionalize pro wrestling across Africa: raising its standards, structure, and visibility.

The purpose is also to provide development pathways for wrestlers: training, competition, exposure, to forge global partnerships with other wrestling federations to bring international opportunities (training tours, championships) to African talents and to document and preserve the history of wrestling in Africa (through halls of fame, libraries, heritage work, etc.

During the international trip and exposure, the Wanderer Kombat Federation (WKF), which is the umbrella body of the Actu Fight Belgium, will also provide advice and training sessions to PWA officials and wrestlers.

Thierry emphasized that he is looking forward to the possibility of this encounter, which he believes can contribute positively to the visibility and collaboration of professional wrestling internationally while Olukoya felt that the timely training will create opportunities for talented but under-exposed African wrestlers to get high-quality training and compete internationally.

The collaboration is coming at the right time because it will help the African team to professionalize what was often informal or under-resourced in many places. It will also enable us to combine cultural heritage of wrestling in Africa with modern promotional, safety, media, technical standard as it can be a vehicle for youth empowerment, job creation, entertainment and regional pride.

Meanwhile, Olukoya has been informed that he has been nominated as the African Pro Wrestling Ambassador for all the good work he’s doing in promoting wrestling in Africa and the award will be received at the end of the year award presentations at Belgium.
