AFCON 2015 : Super Eagles jersey in hot demand in Morocco –Kwara FA boss

There has been an upward demand for Nigerian jersey following the Super Eagles performance at the ongoing AFCON in Morocco.

Honourable Idris Abdullahi Musa Chairman Kwara FA made this revelation while speaking with Tayo Adeyemo of Wonderland Sports.

According to him, Moroccans have been buying Nigerian jersey following the impressive performance of the Eric Chelle tutored side.

He commended the North Africans for the hospitality shown to visitors especially Nigeria during the AFCON.

“Anywhere we go, they keep asking for Nigerian jersey, they are offering money to get it ,some even ask for Okocha, Oliseh, Osihmen, Lookman etc. How I wish we have a sports shop selling Nigerian jersey here

“The people here are very friendly and highly accommodating ,they have received us warmly and it’s a delight to be in Morocco.
The Kwara FA boss is thrilled with the facilities and infrastructures seen so far in Morocco.

“They have provided world class facilities. There is no city without training facilities,you can see gym equipment everywhere and they are begging people to come and experience it for free, regardless of who you are.
Musa wants to see total improvement in Nigeria sports facilities.

“To be frank with you ,we have similar facilities but we lack maintainance culture.
Abuja and Lagos National stadium are world class when they were constructed then and they can retain thier original phase if well maintained.
He annouced that Kwara State Football Association will organize series of competitions in 2026 .
These include; the State League and the Governor’s Cup for both male and female.
The Usman Mustapha Cup for U-20 male is part of the FA programme and other grassroots programmes”, he assured
