Aliking Seeks Fatherly Blessings from Yahaya Bello Ahead of Northern Ireland Training Tour and championship

Rising Nigerian professional wrestling talent and current African Middleweight Champion, “Ali King” Attai Muhammed, would be paying a courtesy visit to former governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello (CON), seeking his fatherly blessings ahead of his upcoming training and competition tour in Northern Ireland scheduled for June 2026.

The visit Aliking has described as both emotional and symbolic when it takes place, would reflect the deep cultural value of mentorship, respect, and guidance as he as an athlete prepare to represent Nigeria on the global stage.

Aliking’s trip to Northern Ireland forms part of a broader international development initiative under Pro -Wrestling Africa (PWA), aimed at enhancing technical wrestling skills through global training exposure, building international competitiveness among African wrestlers, creating pathways for talent exchange and career growth, and strengthening Africa-Europe wrestling collaborations.

The Northern Ireland program will feature intensive training sessions, live competitions and networking opportunities with established wrestling promotions.

Aliking of Nigeria would be competing with Johnny Evers of Denmark under the Northern Ireland Professional wrestling championship which will serve as a qualification match for the AIWF World Middleweight title fight to be hosted in Nigeria which will hold in Lokoja on Thursday 27th August, 2026.

“I am ready to train, fight and win for Governor Yahaya Bello, Kogi State and Nigeria at large. Notably, your support for the development and maintenance of key facilities such as the Confluence Stadium, as well as your efforts in revitalizing grassroots sports programs, created opportunities for countless young athletes to discover and nurture their talents.

“Your administration’s encouragement of participation in national competitions, including the National Sports Festival, further elevated the profile of Kogi State as a competitive force in Nigerian sports.

Additionally, your support for teams such as Kogi United FC reflects a strong dedication to sustaining organized sports structures’’ Aliking explained.

Aliking also commended Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) for its efforts in promoting youth development and sports excellence across the continent.

Speaking during a recent engagement ahead of his international training program in Northern Ireland, Aliking highlighted the impact of PWA’s initiatives in shaping his career and those of many young wrestlers in Africa.

“This journey means everything to me. I carry not just my dreams, but the hopes of many young wrestlers in Nigeria and Africa,” he stated.
