All is now ready for Akagburuonye’s birthday bash

There are serious indications that all are now set for the historic celebrations of Barr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye’s 60th birthday anniversary and autobiography book launch, with the theme: Me And My God (a story of grace and resilience).
According to press statement endorsed by Hon. Eddy Obinna and Hon. Udo Njoku, the Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Central Planning Committee, invitations they said have been extended to the good people of imo State, Nigerians, and the wider African communities.
They described Akagburuonye as a man whose life embodies resilience, service, and devotion to God and humanity, noting the 4 day evergreen activities as also celebrations of legacy of faith, fortune, and philanthropy.
The committee informed that the activities marking the anniversary will commence on Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd February 2026, in Imo State as festivals of thanksgiving, reflection, and communal upliftment, marking six decades of extraordinary impacts.
The programme of events include; Leadership Conference featuring distinguished statesmen and faith leaders, exploring the role of ethics in governance.
Exhibition of Life and Legacy, showcasing milestones in education, enterprise, and philanthropy.
Novelty Football Match coordinated by Super Eagles legend, the mathematical Segun Odegbami, blending sport, camaraderie, and fund-raising for community projects.
Commissioning of Projects including a new football pitch, a modern church, family housing, and rehabilitated road networks attracted and funded by this man of purposeful grace.
The Grand Book Launch of Me and My God, will be chaired by former Military Head of State and President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, with Ghanaian President John Mahama as Special Guest of Honour, and Governor Hope Uzodimma, the Infrastructural Governor in Nigeria as Chief Host.
