AMADI, NOT INTERESTED IN SDP YOUTH AMBASSADOR AWARD, SAYS AIDE

The general public have been cautioned to disregard a recent publication in the Star Post newspaper, dated Friday, December 6, 2024, announcing a proposed award titled “Great Ambassador of Youths and Humanitarian” by the Imo State chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in honor of Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi (Mazi Gburugburu).

In an official statement released by the Special Assistant to Dr Amadi on Digital Communications, and New Media Anyanwu Glory Ammarachi, noted that While the thoughtful recognition of Dr. Amadi’s contributions to youth empowerment and community development is appreciated, it is important to clarify that Dr. Amadi has no prior knowledge of this proposed award. He has neither been consulted nor has he granted his consent or endorsement for this recognition.

She maintained that “Dr. Amadi, as a dedicated businessman and philanthropist, remains focused on his humanitarian efforts, which are guided by a deep commitment to impacting lives positively and meaningfully. His work is driven by a passion for service, not a desire for public accolades or recognition.”

“In light of this, Dr. Amadi wishes to respectfully disassociate himself from the aforementioned award. While expressing gratitude to the Imo State chapter of the Social Democratic Party for their goodwill, he reiterates that his priority remains on advancing the welfare of the less privileged and fostering sustainable development within the community.”

“The public is kindly advised to disregard any association of Dr. Amadi with the proposed award. Thank you for your understanding and continued support for initiatives that truly make a difference.” The Statement read.
