Anambra FA election: Security will be tight says Caretaker Committee

By George Aluo

The caretaker committee of Anambra FA says it is putting maximum security in place for the election which begins today.

Given how high the stakes are in the election, a source close to the committee said they are going to take no chances in a bid to ensure that there is no breakdown of law and order during the election.

“We are going to make sure we have adequate security because this is not a virtual election and the stakes are very high and again we would ensure the needed Covid-19 protocols are observed during the election,” our source disclosed.

We gathered that the election would start today with that of the local government football council while the board members would be elected tomorrow.

NFF’s board member Ibrahim Gusau is expected to arrive Awka today to supervise the election.
