By George Aluo
Ex international Ifeanyi Ekwueme is on cloud nine over the fine start of his side, Apex Krane of Agbor in the NNL.
The Agbor based side defeated hard fighting Bayelsa United by 2-1 to set the stage for what Ekwueme believes would be a fine run in the nation’s second tier league.
“It was quite a tough and difficult game for us, but we prepared well knowing that Bayelsa United would come out fighting. I m happy with this fine start…our team is work in progress,” Ekwueme said.
On the next game away against Abia Comets, Ekwueme who is the CEO of Apex Krane said the target is to secure maximum points in Umuahia.
“We are going to Abia with one thing in mind…a win. We are going to work hard to ensure we consolidate on this fine start, “ Ekwueme said.
Abia Comets, it would be noted, lost their first game away by 1-2 in Ughelli to J’Atete.
