ANFPU inauguration: Iloenyosi thanks stakeholders

Chairman Board of Trustees of newly inaugurated All Nigeria Football Players Union (ANFPU), Chikelue Iloenyosi has attributed the successful inauguration of the new players body on Wednesday in Abuja to the support received from stakeholders.
Iloenyosi while congratulating ex-internationals for coming together ostensibly to get things right with the new union said with the inauguration the body can now hit the ground running.
“I want to say a big thank you to all the stakeholders who identified with the union before and during the inauguration. We appreciate the presence of top NFF officials, our patron AIG Garba Umar, members of the diplomatic community, our members home and abroad and the media. It is truly a new dawn for Nigerian players active and retired,” Iloenyosi said.
It would be noted that the new players union has been recognized by the nation’s soccer governing body, NFF as one of her affiliates, a situation that would see it being recognised by Fifpro, the world players body.
