Wrestling Extravaganza: Sharpman, Power Vick, Eagle De Great Nail send warning signals to opponents

With the December, 24th date for the much awaited wrestling Extravaganza around the corner, some of the mats men that will be on parade have started warning their opponents of the implication of accepting to fight them.
Pro Wrestling Africa (PWA) will on the eve of Christmas organise an African Continental Light heavyweight title fight tagged ‘Night of the Kings’ which will see the current champion USA Bing of DR Congo defending his title against home boy, Augustine Okafor popularly known in wrestling circles as Mr. Sharpman.
Apart from the main bout, there will also be other supporting bouts featuring some of the best mats men in the African continent.
Speaking to newstap.com.ng on his preparedness for the fight, Mr.Sharpman described it as a dream come through noting that he will present the belt to Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma as a Christmas present and to congratulate him for his second term victory in the just concluded Imo State Governorship election.
” I have been looking for the opportunity to win an African title and make my fans happy but the champion has been avoiding me but now that he has finally accepted to fight me, his time as a champion has come to an end and I promise to send him back to Kinshasa on stretchers.
” I cannot afford to disappoint Nigerians and my sports loving Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma and immediately I win the belt, the next thing is to present it to the Governor as a Christmas gift and use that opportunity to congratulate him on his recent victory at the polls”, noted the Orlu Imo State born wrestler who was trained by former African champion, Lion Bone.
Mr. Sharpman who has competed in Cameroon, Mali, Central African Republic, Ghana and Benin Republic before now and wrestled with Cameroon’s Kirikou during Pro Wrestling Africa’s Battle of Yaoundé 2015 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and defeated him as a master of the game, however appealed to the Imo State Government, various Town Development Associations in Imo State and sports loving Nigerians to extend their support to him as he is about to make the state and country proud.
Also speaking, one of the top Nigerian fighters who will be in action that day, Victor Idorenyem Ebenezer A.K.A Power Vic was optimistic that no wrestler in his weight category can withstand him on December 24.
“I have been preparing for this fight and I’m ever ready to meet any opponent in the ring”, began the Akwa Ibom State born wrestler.
” Akwa Ibom is known as one of the states that produces great wrestlers for this country and I’m ready to keep that flag flying. All I want to tell Akwa Ibomites is to come to National Stadium on that day and see what their son is capable of doing.
” I know that the present Governor of Akwa Ibom State Umo Bassey Eno is a sports loving Governor and has been investing massively on sports since his assumption of office and I want him to take interest in what am doing and give me the necessary encouragement and I promise not to disappoint but to bring honour to the state and Nigeria generally”, he stressed.
In his own remarks, another wrestler of repute, Christian Ojukwu Obi ( Dimgba Ogbunka) with ring name as ‘Eagle De Great Nail’ boosted that he will make a mince meat of any opponent he’s matched with by the wrestling body.
According to the Ogbunka, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State born wrestler, he has been preparing seriously for the wrestling extravaganza and hope to use the event and draw attention of Anambra State Governor, Prof.Charles Chukwuma Soludo to his exploits in the wrestling ring just as he commended Pro -Wrestling Africa for the timely championship.
” I’m ‘Eagle De Great Nail’ but my fans prefer to call me Dimgba Ogbunka because of my exploits in the ring.
“You know that Eagle is the greatest bird on mother Earth and that greatness is what I will be taking into the ring on that day.
“Wrestlers who have faced me in the ring before knows what am capable of doing and December 24 won’t be different.
Meanwhile Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya has called on wrestling fans to troop out in their thousands on December 24 to the wrestling arena of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos to witness the best of wrestling, reminding them that the gate will be thrown open to fans.
He listed other talented grapplers that will feature at the End of the Year Pro Wrestling Extravaganza to include; 6.5, Black Heritage, De Hardman, Rodrick Fred, Jimmy Palm Jnr, Alexandra De Queen and Loveth amongst others.
