Ardova Handball Premier League Phase 2 Set To Hold In Lagos In November

The second phase of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025 will be held from November 25 to December 7, 2025 in Lagos.

According to a statement signed by the General Secretary of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) Mrs. Monica Otumala on Friday, the top tier handball premier league proudly sponsored by Ardova PLC, will be staged at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Institute of Sports (NIS) inside the compound of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos and the Rowe Park Sports Center, Yaba, Lagos from November 25 through to December 7, 2025.

Teams are expected to arrive in Lagos on Tuesday November 25, 2025 where there will be an all important Technical Meeting while matches begins the next day Wednesday November 26 2025 through to December 6 where the winners of the league will be unveiled and then all the teams will depart the next day on December 7, 2025.

Mrs. Otumala urged the clubs participating in the league to begin preparation in earnest ahead of the competition which also includes necessary documentary registrations .

“The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) is pleased to inform you that the 2nd phase of 2025 Ardova Handball Premier League will take place from 25th November – 7th December 2025, in Lagos State with arrival on 25th November, 2025, competition on 26th November – 6th December, 2025 while departure will be on 7th December, 2025” Mrs Otumala said

“The participating teams must make all necessary arrangements to plan their arrival and departure within the period mentioned above and all participating clubs should note that documentary registration of players shall be completed on or before 10th November, 2025”. Mrs. Otumala concluded.

Safety Shooters and Safety Babes, both owned by the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), are leaders in the male and female categories leagues respectively from the Phase 1 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025 which was held in Benin City, Edo State in July 2025.

In the men category, Safety Shooters are on top with 28 points with a massive +91 goal difference while COAS Shooters are in second position with 28 points as well but less goal difference of +50.
Rima Strikers of Sokoto are in third position at the moment with 25 points while defending champion Tojemarine Handball Club, who have 24 points, are in 4th position.

In the women’s category, five times Champions and Defending Champion Safety Babes, who haven’t lost a league match since they lost a dead rubber match on the final day of league in the year 2022 and are gunning for an unprecedented fifth consecutive titles, are comfortably leading the pack with 21 points having won all their matches so far while Rima Queens of Sokoto are not so far behind in second place with 19 points.

Former champion Plateau Peacocks of Jos are in third with 15 points while old war horse Imo Grasshoppers of Owerri are in 4th position as newbie Soof Omo Ogiefo HBC are in the top 5 on fifth position with 13 points.

All matches will be streamed live on HFN TV and the Ardova PLC platform on Facebook. They will also be streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Handball Federation of Nigeria.
