NBBF commiserate with families, friends of late Hon. Ekene Adams
The Nigeria Basketball Federation has joined others in the sports community to mourn the demise of the Chairman of House Of Representatives’ Committee On Youth and Sports, Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, who passed on yesterday, Tuesday, 16th July 2024, after a protracted illness.
President of NBBF, Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, in a condolence message expressed his shock over the sudden death of Hon. Ekene, whom he described as a brilliant and resourceful sports administrator, with uncommon zeal for the growth of sports in Nigeria.
“In whatever situation, we must give reverence and all glory to God Almighty, as He giveth and taketh.
“Painful as the death of Hon. Ekene Adams is to the sports community, we must take solace in the facts that he lived an eventful and memorable life.
“On behalf of the NBBF, I pray that God, in His infinite mercies, grant his families, associates and friends, the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Kida prayed.
