The grand patron of Enugu Rangers, Sir Benson Ezeomeogo Na Oba Ejindu has declared that naming Davidson Owumi as the new CEO of the nation’s league management outfit, LMC is a perfect appointment.
The USA based football buff while congratulating Owumi said he is confident Nigeria’s domestic league would get a breath of fresh air with Owumi in charge.
‘For once, in the country, we are putting the right man in charge. I m happy with the appointment of Owumi as the CEO of League Management Company (LMC). Owumi is a man that understands football inside out. He played the game and he has the intellectual capacity to manage the game. He has proven that with Rangers. His excellent performance saw Rangers emerging league champions in 2016 and FA Cup in 2018. It is good he is moving to Abuja to serve the nation,” Ejindu stated.
The Oba, Anambra state born philanthropist said he wants to see a strong Nigerian league that can be truly professional, even as he charged Rangers to go all out and do well this season. It would be noted that the LMC has fixed December 17 as the new league kick off date.
