Benin Rep. Pro -Wrestling Federation will host memorable training programme – Olukoya
Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa who also doubles as African President of Allied Independent Wrestling Federation ( AIWF), Olusesan Olukoya has expressed confidence that the proposed training for West African athletes by the Benin Republic Wrestling Federation ( FEBECATCH) will be a memorable one.
He stated that judging from the weekly physical meetings at the FEBECATCH ofice in Cotonou; online meetings and deliberations so far, the body is set to go, positing that all arrangement has been concluded for a successful programme and that the country will be good host to other wrestlers coming from Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia and the host nation, Benin Republic.
He further explained that Samuel Omare Omene Johnson of Nigeria known around the pro -wrestling world as Jimmy Palm “De African Dream” would be leading the training crew and would be supported on the coaching crew by Samson “De Miser” from Ghana and Nigerian ladies of the mats, Iron Lady Becky and Alexander De Queen who will be training other West Africans alongside Jimmy Palm.
Meanwhile, Olukoya has assured that Pro-Wrestling Africa (PWA) will continue to do all within its power towards ensuring that wrestling takes its rightful position in the African continent just as he appealed for corporate support to enable the body fully achieve it’s set target.
”Our plan at Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA) is to take the sports to all African countries and with that, the sports can be used to fight crime and other social vices amongst the youths as well as create employment for them”, he concluded.
