Benin Republic turns Nigeria nemesis again as El Kanemi crashes out of Confed Cup

With less than two months after Benin Republic recorded their first ever defeat of the Nigerian national football team, Super Eagles in a World Cup qualifiers in Cote D’Ivoire, a Benin club, Dadje FC has knocked out El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri from the CAF Confederation Cup.

Dadje won the second leg decided at
General Mathieu Kerekou Stadium in Cotonou by 2-1to get a 3-2 aggregate win after the first leg played last week ended 1-1.
Prior to the game, the Benin Republic Football Federation has issued out about 8,000 free tickets to their fans to ensure Dadje FC, runners-up to the country’s league gets maximum support ahead the crucial second leg encounter.
