Betsy Obaseki women’s football tournament draw holds September 6

The draw for the 2nd edition of the Betsy Obaseki Women’s football tournament would hold September 6 in Benin.

This much was confirmed yesterday by the chairman of Edo State Sports Commission, Yusuf Ali.

Ali in an exclusive interview with newstap.com.ng said the draw would hold on the night when all the participating teams are expected to arrive the Edo State capital.

“We have concluded plans for the draw to hold on the eve of kick off just as the teams arrive Benin. It would a night of glamour,” Ali said.

The 2nd edition of the Betsy Obaseki tournament would run from September 7-18.

The tournament which is the brain child of the First Lady of Edo State is aimed at using football to empower the girl child.
