My take on Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu’s candidacy.

Politics often is defined by conspiracy theories often not built on the interest of the people.
Very unfortunate if you ask me. From a vintage position, there are certain assurances that should ordinarily be taken for granted.
A state constituency election that would throw up a representative of a local government should be determined by the unique qualities of the candidate as against the ladders hipped to assist one climb.
I seldom endorse candidates I cannot vouch for their innate potentials and capacity.
The big question should be, what qualities better recommends a spokesperson of a people in a legislative house.
Beyond all political permutations and intrigues, who rightly fits the bill when the basic consideration is who best understands the operating political environment and can conveniently leverage the learning curve experience for a guaranteed visible voice for the people of Ngor Okpalla. This is critical. After the election, what next. What date awaits the people of that state constituency, the third largest local government in Nigeria.
All the people providing all sorts of ladder now in Ngor Okpalla would disappear and the reality of vibrant representation or palpable inertia would dawn on the people.
Let all the seasonal birds with all their variegated intentions of descending on Ngor Okpalla evaporate after Saturday, the burden of character and quality of representation would be that of Ngor Okpalla people to bear.
Once beaten, twice shy.
You can deploy all forms of subterfuge to secure a space for someone in the House of Assembly but the tools of engagement is his to device and deploy.
I have had the opportunity of working with Blyden Amajirionwu in the past and I know he is very tall in being outspoken, deeply emotional about protecting the interest of his people and has the reach to knock at the right doors to attract attention.
These are qualities that cannot be picked off the shelf.
When the push gets to a shove, I know that Blyden would not be found wanting.
Ngor Okpalla people must rise up now and take the bull by the horn, forget petty political bickering and take a decision that has value content that addresses the need, aspirations and expectations of the greater number.
This is not the time to massage the ego of political tin gods. The interest of the poor people who r in huge numbers that desire quality representation should matter.
How the top politicians in Ngor Okpalla responds at this critical hour, would in future define their sense of objectivity beyond petty personality positioning.
Since the candidates have emerged, who gets the nod based on sound judgement is critical.
Blyden would hit the ground running because he understands the bolts and nuts of the immediate engagement environment to hook back Ngor Okpalla to the development grid.
