One of Nigeria’s foremost table tennis icon and expert in Sports Ethics and Integrity Bose Kaffo will be ending the year on a high as she takes the first edition of Sports Fiesta to Abaranje and it’s suburb in Ikotun; Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State on Tuesday, December 31.
The first African female table tennis player to compete at five different Olympics has through her Bose Kaffo Innovations, planned to spark a wave of sports rhythm beyond excellence right at the base of the grassroots community where talents abound.
The fiesta which is meant to create a unique holiday experience in the locality, will witness participants compete in a table tennis competition while those who desire the Slam-and-Dunk game of basketball will also have the court to express themselves.
Interestingly, the Sports Biomechanist Scientist has partnered with Zeniva Pharmacy to provide medical support like Blood Pressure Test, Glucose Test at no cost to those who attend while the first few participants to arrive Irede Street, off Ile-Eja Road, the venue of the event, will undergo Malaria Test for free.
She calls on everyone, in celebration of the holiday season to join the historic event in making the right energy on the last day of 2024 ahead of the new year.
Music from DJ Big Deal will add to the groovy atmosphere for residents and other participants to relax and enjoy the moment with the table tennis Legend.
‘I’m really excited that Sports Fiesta is finally holding after years of planning’, she revealed with excitement.
‘What we want to achieve is to ignite sports development at the base with some innovations” said the soft-spoken High Performance Coach.
‘We have the experience to drive the desired growth. We are intentional at making this happen and I want to reveal here that, it’s not going to be a one-off. We seek for more partnership and sponsorship at driving this strategic programme to an enviable height.’ she said.
