Int’l friendly: Super Eagles striker targets goal against Mexico

Rivers United forward Sunday Adetunji has expressed his desire to score when the Super Eagles confront Mexico in the international friendly Saturday (4am Sunday morning, Nigeria time)  in the USA.

In a telephone chat, the former Plateau United star who is one of the forwards selected for the game, pointed out that the match is a big opportunity for him and his colleagues to make a bold positive statement for the NPFL.
” I am grateful to the coaches for this opportunity to showcase my God-given talent. By the grace of God, I hope to score against Mexico, if I am given the opportunity to play during the game.
He was quick however, to note that the game wouldn’t be about individuals, but the collective efforts of all the team members.
” We are not going to be individualistic during the match. We are a team representing Nigeria. And with team work, I believe we can make the country proud,” he stated.
