President General (Worldwide) of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr Rafiu Ladipo has called for the inclusion of his group in the new Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board.

Ladipo who spoke in Lagos today said the era of ‘monkey dey work, baboon dey chop’ arrangement under Amaju Melvin Pinnick should come to an end.

He noted that supporters who use their hard earned money and sacrifice their time out of patriotism to support the various national teams should have a say in the way football is run in the country.

He insisted his group would only support an NFF board that is prepared to do the right thing by carrying his group along.

“If after the Benin election we still have people who are not ready to do the right thing, we will use our drums and trumpets to chase them out of the Glass House. Football belongs to all of us and not the 15 board members of NFF,” Ladipo said.

He stressed that the Amaju Melvin Pinnick led board completely destroyed Nigerian football declaring that it is a shame that Nigeria after eight years of the incumbent board won nothing.

“Is it not a shame that we are celebrating qualification for WAFU U-17? It is that bad. I m not saying all the present board members are bad, but whoever is taking over should be ready to amend his ways and be prepared to do the right thing.”
