ANOCA bestows special honor on Dare

Africa’s Olympic body, The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) has bestowed her highest honor on Nigeria’s Sports Minister Sunday Dare.

Dare was decorated with the award…Order of Sports Administrators in Africa by ANOCA president Mustapha Beraf in Abuja.

Beraf while bestowing Dare with the award said it was in recognition of the minister’s untiring efforts at taking sports to higher grounds not just in Nigeria but the African continent.

Beraf stressed that Dare since assuming office has contributed immensely to the growth of Olympic Africa and sports development in Nigeria.

He charged the minister to remain focused and not allow himself to be distracted especially at this time when Nigeria is gearing up for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics game.

Dare thanked the body for recognizing his efforts and assured that the sports ministry under his watch would continue to consolidate on the steps so far taken to reposition sports in the country.
