CG Adeniyi bids farewell as Team Nigerian Wrestlers depart for 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Saudi Arabia

The President Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, PhD, has extended his support for Wrestling Contingent as they departed Nigeria ahead of wrestling event at the ongoing 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
The contingent comprising of 4 wrestlers namely, Mercy Genesis, Damola Hannah Ojo,Ogunsanya Christianah Tolulope, and Esther Kolawole and coach Akuh Purity alongside the Secretary General of the Federation, Oluwasegun Bode Ademisoro left the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday.
Admonishing the team before their departure, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi opined that the Federation will keenly follow up on their performances, urging them to put up a spectacular display.
The Customs boss noted such competitions will test Nigeria’s resolve and progress in its quest for continued global rise at the World Championships and Olympic Games.
The NWF President expressed high expectations for the team to make the President and the entire country proud, reminding the athletes that they are ambassadors of the Nation
“I want you to believe in yourselves and do your best and maintain a high level of discipline to make the President and Nigerians proud.”
“We implore you to do your best and ensure that Nigeria’s flag is hoisted in Riyadh victoriously.” Adeniyi said
