Christmas: Uzotex Charity Foundation put smiles on Umuchima community, others

Barely two days to the celebration of Christmas, Mr. Festus Mbisiogu through Uzotex Charity Foundation has put smiles on the faces of over 200 families in Umuchima community in Ideato South local government area of Imo State and even beyond, by offering them 25kg of quality rice and cartons of noodles each.

It’s important to recall that, Mbisiogu who’s the founder and financier of the non governmental organization has been persistent in doing this and other philanthropic gestures to the rural community, its populace and environ for the past 15 years, without any government assistance.

Last Tuesday, the premises of CIC Catholic Parish, Umuchima was beehive of activities as Rev Fr. Bernard Dike (Angel) of Obodo Ukwu Parish with other Catholic Church clergy men seamlessly presided over the sharing of the philanthropic largesse that cut across religious denominations in which widows, widowers, people living with disabilities, poorest of the poor and a group known as Uzotex children were given priority attentions.

It was a sight to behold as most of the beneficiaries that also included Messrs Chiwendu Duru, Angela Ogbala, Stella Eze, Chinaechemerem Otujieme, Patience Anene among others were happily singing praises to God and openly praying for God’s abundant blessings and grace upon the philanthropist, his family and generations.

The way and manner most of the beneficiaries were tenaciously carrying the products and expressing goodness of God, was touchy with goose pimples; a true significant impact that there’s hunger in the land and Nigerian leaders should do something urgently.

Mr. Fabian Obioma Okwara, an age long frontline leader in Uzotex Charity Foundation informed that the NGO, extended her usual annual festive philanthropic gestures of ensuring that some special families in Umuchima, Ebemmanu and other communities in Ideato North and South Federal Constituency are happy during the festive period marking the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, who’s the saviour of mankind.

Okwara pointed out with nostalgia that the Foundation has through so many socioeconomic activities like health, light, boreholes, roads, transformers, school rehabilitations, scholarships, skills acquisition, empowerments etc impacted positively so many communities in Ideato North and South Federal Constituency as well as Orlu senatorial zone and Imo State at large.

He reiterated that Mr. Festus Mbisiogu, even though has so many friends in politics but has no interest in politics nor contesting any election even now or in near future.

According to him, “he is just that business man and an industrialist that have so much compassion for humanity, and in appreciation of God Almighty for lifting him, from grass to grace, from nobody to somebody”.

While canvassing for most privileged Nigerians to emulate the laudable charity and philanthropic gestures of Uzotex Charity Foundation, he also prayed for God’s abundant blessings in terms of good health, protections, favour and mercies to be upon the sponsor and his family.

Speaking earlier, Rev Fr. Dr. Mathew Eze,( Father Man man) informed that, he has been engaged in the activities of the Foundation for the past 15 years, a period he equally attested that the Foundation has tremendously impacted positively in the lives of most less privileged members of the society and its environ, especially in Umuchima community and other surrounding communities.

Father Man as he is popularly known and called resides in Washington DC, as an Instructor in Jephthah’s Seminary Washington DC, an institution owned by Jephthah’s.

He thumbed up the Foundation and its financier for building and furnishing of ultra modern comprehensive health centers, building of houses to indigent persons through her operation no more thatched or mud house in Umuchima community and its environ, reticulated boreholes with standing tanks to many villages and communities, lightning up the nooks and crannies of Umuchima community and beyond with solar empowered lights, empowering women and youths of the community and even beyond, offering of scholarships, among so many other things.

The Priest expressed satisfaction, that the Foundation’s regular charity and philanthropic gestures to humanity and its environ have been of tremendously impactful benefits to humanity and the society, and have earned so much commendations to the Foundation, in terms of awards, recognitions, appreciations and acceptance.

He further described Mr. Festus Mbisiogu as an instrument in God’s hands, used to alleviate the sufferings of people through provisions of basic necessities of life.

” Like today,(Tuesday) the Foundation gave out over 200 bags of rice, and noodles respectively to the people we called, the Foundation children, less privileged persons, each person received a bag of rice and a carton of noodle, and they’re all happy.

The beneficiaries cut across religious denominations and I prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon our Chairman, Dr. Festus Mbisiogu, in all his endeavours for provision of this 2025 Christmas food palliatives”.

Adding her voice, Dr. Mrs Bernadette Ubaonu, the national President General, Umuchima Women’s wing both home and abroad and the Treasurer of Uzotex Charity Foundation, ” the event is an annual programme for the past 15 years, in which the Foundation puts smile on the faces of the needy in the community, its environ and even beyond, without gender nor age discrimination, so far the person is identified as a needy”.

Ubaonu also described Mr. Festus Mbisiogu as a rare personality in terms of compassion to humanity and society at large, asking God to give them another person like Festus Mbisiogu, so that their community will receive accelerated development and transformations.

She noted with passion, catalogues of philanthropic and charitable gestures the Foundation has embarked upon in the last 15 years and prayed for God’s sufficiency and consolidations.

The woman leader further described Mbisiogu as a global personality that earned has earned mutual trust and confidence in all his socioeconomic dealings with Chinese and United Arab Emirates governments.

She also solicited for privileged Nigerians to emulate him while praying for God’s divine mercy upon him and his family for all his labour of love to God and humanity at large.
