Doregos Schools, Mosan Okunola LCDA pledge more Support for Youths.
Renowned Sports philanthropist Mrs. Clementina Doregos has called on individuals, Government and corporate Nigeria to invest in Nigeria youths through sports.
She gave the charge during a courtesy visit to the Mosan Okunola Local Council Development Area led by Honourable Opeyemi Adunni Akindele.
According to her, Nigerian youths need to be engaged positively through sports just as she used the occasion to appreciate the council boss for her support for youths development within her 100 days in office.
Doregos who is the Sponsor of the Lagos Grassroots football competition and the Doregos inter schools Basketball Competition commended Akindele for impacting the Nigeria youths positively through sports.
“We are here to thank you for the support you have given our youths since you assumed office. As a former athlete and mother it gives me joy when our youths are encouraged and we shall always be grateful to you.
In her response, the chairman of Mosan Okunola LCDA, Honourable Opeyemi Adunni Akindele said her administration has donated several match balls and Jerseys to grassroots clubs .
This she said is to raise the next sports global super stars within Mosan Okunola LCDA.
“Sports is one area we can use to keep our youths busy and we will continue to encourage them through sporting activities”, she promised.
Sports, according to Adunni is key to national development and must be supported from Grassroots level.
The Council boss, said her administration have completed various road projects within the LCDA with more currently going on.
“We have also improved facilities in our schools to ensure conducive learning for the students. We constructed new toilets at the three schools within Abesan Estate and as I talk to you ,we have commenced work on 51 road at Gowon Estate while Work is going on at C Road, Shagari Estate.
Also speaking at the occasion,the CEO of Wonderland Events,Tayo Adeyemo appreciated the council boss for the just concluded Cacatin Cup.
It would be recalled that participating teams at the Cacatin cup smiled home with match balls courtesy of Mosan Okunola LCDA led by Honourable Opeyemi Adunni Akindele.
