D’Tigress land in Australia for FIBA Women’s World Cup

D’Tigress of Nigeria has qualified for the FIBA Women’s World Cup taking place later this year in Australia.

The hard fighting Nigerian girls defeated Mali by 73 points to 69 points to seal their place in the World Cup.

Nigeria was almost going to throw away the game in the last quarter when Mali clawed back reducing Nigeria’s lead to just two points with less than a minute to go.

But the Nigerian queens held on tenaciously an eventually won the game.

D’Tigress had before the game against Mali beaten France, a victory that boosted the country’s chances of qualification.
