NOC observes World Clean Up Day

The Nigeria Olympic Committee, under the auspices of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) joined other nations of the world to mark this year’s edition of the World Cleanup Day; a global environmental initiative aimed at collaborating in waste management.

The event was held on Friday, 20thSeptember, 2024 at the
Olympafrica Centre in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos and had in attendance staff of the Nigeria Olympic Committee and
members of the Clubs located at the centre as well as other participants
from the community.
During the occasion, the Senior Manager of Nigeria Olympic
Committee, Mr. Emmanuel Nweri delivered the speech of the
NOC President, Engr. Habu Gumel, highlighting the importance
of the day in raising global awareness and the need for preserving our environment through engaging best practices in managing waste.
