Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions to be unveiled November 12
.As boxers express readiness for battle

All is now set for the maiden edition of Chief Emeka Agba Boxing Promotions slated for Sunday November, 11, 2023 at the Brai Ayenote Boxing Hall of the National Stadium Surulere Lagos.
Tagged ‘ Ring Metadors’ and coming under the auspices of Chief Emeka Agba Foundation, it will witness a total of six bouts which has been sanctioned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control ( NBB of C).
Speaking during the weighing in, the promoter, Chief Emeka Agba (Odagbulu ife Dagbulu Enyi of Igboland ) said his arrival in boxing promotion is aimed at changing the face of professional boxing in the country
According to him, boxing is an exciting sports and Nigeria boasts of strong and talented youths who can reshape the face of the game when fully encouraged; saying that his dream is to produce new Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson for Nigeria.
He also announced that plans are on the pipeline to build a world class boxing gym where boxers will get the best training and get exposed to the most modern facilities in the sports.
Chief Agba justified the reasons for making the gate fee of the fight N100,000 for VVIP and N50,000 for VIP as necessary; saying that the high gate fee is to ensure that hardworking boxers get reasonable purse at the end of the fight.
Meanwhile some of the boxers who spoke to newstap.com.ng shortly after their weighing declared their readiness to give their best in the ring.
Both Lucky Oyibo and Ibrahim Shobusi who will be facing each other in a National Light Welterweight Challenge contest noted that they’ve been training ahead of the fight and commended Chief Emeka Agba and the leadership of NBB of C for their efforts at giving them opportunity to showcase their talents, promising not to disappoint fans.
Speaking in the same vein, fighters of the main bout of the night, Samuel Ebohen and fighting Soldier man, Godwin Ambrose who are billed to slug it out in a National Cruiserweight Challenge Contest all expressed optimism that they will carry the day.
