Enabulele assumes duty as Chairman Edo State Sports Commission, prioritizes infrastructure maintenance, athletes welfare
Honourable Desmond Amadin Enabulele, Wednesday, December 18,2024 assumed duty as the Executive Chairman, Edo state Sports Commission, with a commitment to take sport development in Edo State to the next level.
The Chairman said that maintenance of the facility and grassroots sports development will be given priority in his administration’s development programme.
“We have a lot of work to do and our primary concern is how to take Edo State Sports development to the next level. Work starts now. We have gone round to see what is on the ground and there is a lot to be done in terms of maintenance and standards” He stated.
Honourable Enabulele who arrived at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in company of his Board members Hon Frank Ilaboya ( Edo North Representative), Barrister Anthony Odianosen Ikuenobe( Edo Central Representative ) and Baldwin Bazuaye, MON ( Edo South Representative) in the board began work immediately with facilities inspection before having a closed door meeting with top civil servants of the Commission led by the Director of Sports Development Mrs. Efe Amenze in the boardroom of the Commission
He solicited the cooperation of staff and all the stakeholders to join hands with him in his quest to deliver on his mandate.
The Chairman maintained that the new board is totally committed to providing a conducive environment for Edo sportsmen and women to excel in their various chosen fields.
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpbebholo appointed Amadin Desmond Enabulele, as the Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, following the dissolution of the former board headed by Olympian Yusuf Alli.
Speaking, Baldwin Bazuaye member representing Edo South in the new board expressed confidence in the ability of the new chairman to take Edo sports development to an enviable height, assuring him of their cooperation.
