By George Aluo
After failing to get past Horoya of Guinea in the CAF Confederation Cup, Enyimba manager, Fatai Osho said he is now shifting his attention to how to win the NPFL shield and stage a return to the continent next term.
Osho who spoke after losing 0-2 to Horoya in Conakry said his side actually put up a good fight which was not good enough against the experienced and highly motivated Guinean side that paraded a Nigerian striker Bolaji Sakin who actually destroyed Enyimba.
“We did our very best to go through but our efforts were not good enough. We have learnt some lessons from the game. We are returning home to concentrate on our league and fight to win it,” Osho said.
Enyimba it is recalled were forced to a 1-1 draw in the Aba first leg only to bow 0-2 in Conakry.
The Aba giants remain Nigeria’s most successful club in the continent having won the CAF Champions League back to back in 2003 and 2004.
