Team Nigeria’s Captain plans to make amends from opening Olympic Badminton setback

The General Captain of Team Nigeria’s Olympic contingent Anuoluwapo Opeyori fought so hard on the badminton court Tuesday but came short at La Chapelle Arena.
The Nigerian sole representative at the Olympic Badminton Tournament slumped to a 0-2 loss to Swiss Tobias Kuenzi in the three man Group N tie.
Opeyori came very close to winning the first set, leading by three set-points, but ended up losing it on a tie-break, 20-22.
The African champion couldn’t maintain the momentum in the second set as the Swiss ran away with a comfortable 21-14 victory.
The 27 year old Opeyori who is making his second appearance at the Olympics is back in action today in the men’s singles against China’s SF Li where he hope to make amends for the first game’s disappointment
