Eze Ohanweh thumbs up Governor Uzodimma for pardoning Ihekwueme

A frontline traditional ruler in Imo State,HRH Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanweh (Obi Gburu Gburu) has thumbed up Governor Hope Uzodimma for granting an unconditional State pardon to Dr. Fabian Ihekwueme (OMU) following a recent past derogatory media war between Ihekwueme, the governor and the State government.
Eze Ohanweh who is the traditional ruler of Isiama ancient autonomous community in Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State disclosed this on Saturday while speaking during a well attended Okigwe Senatorial Zone stakeholders meeting held at the ancestral home of Chief Tony Chukwu (Onweghi Ihe Kariri Chineke) Umueze 1 in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State.
“On behalf of Okigwe people and as Chairman Okigwe Elders Global Forum, am expressing special gratitude to Governor Hope Odidika Uzodimma for the forgiveness of one of our distinguished sons, Hon Fabian Ihekwueme(OMU).
“That unknown to us, the latent cause of their sour relationship, but the Governor as a practical Christian, have unconditionally forgiven their son, Dr. Fabian Ihekwueme. However, this should not be a precedent for anybody to initiate insult against the Governor and his government no matter what.
“The forgiveness is a mark of honour and love to the people of Okigwe Senatorial Zone. Whatever, the Senatorial Zone needs from the government of Imo State with respect, humility and loyalty, the Governor will surely give it to the people” he assured.
Eze Ohanweh who called himself the supreme oracle expressed satisfactions with the activities of Chief Cosmos Iwu as the Secretary to Imo State Government insisting that he’s a worthy ambassador of the zone, saying also that Chief Tony Chukwu (Onweghi Ihe Kariri Chineke) as an astute political leader and business mogul has been a bright star for the zone
The Royal Father commended, Senator Patrick Ndubueze for attracting Federal University and power generating plant for the Senatorial Zone and Rt. Hon Chike, Olemgbe, the Speaker Imo House of Assembly for being dependable in every course concerning the zone and the State.
The reverred traditional ruler further showered praises on Hon. Miriam Onuoha for her impactful representation of the people of Okigwe, Onuimo and Isiala Mbano Federal Constituency and Imo State at large, pointing out that she for the first time in history attracted Federal Medical Centre to the Federal constituency.
He also lauded the stakeholders for being appreciative of Governor Hope Uzodimma infrastructural developments of the area as well as his administration’s penchant for human capacity building empowerment.
Eze Ohanweh enjoined the clerics for fervent prayers concerning the governor, his family and administration, describing Uzodimma as a workaholic administrative wizard, noting that with the governor the people and the area are moving forward.
He reiterated the resolve by the traditional rulers of the Senatorial Zone for their continual pouring of libation to appease God and their ancestors in the overall interest of the progress and development of the zone.
Gburu Gburu as he is popularly called and known also applauded Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri, for making the world academia to stand still during his recent Imo State inaugural lecture saying that, the legal icon, made Okigwe Senatorial Zone proud with the rich intellectual harvest.
While further commending the Governor for recently given two federal appointments to distinguished sons of the Senatorial Zone, that’s Barr. Ifeanyi Agwu PhD and Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka.
He also called for unity of purpose and love among the people, while advising them on the need for unity of purpose and love amongst them as well as the need to jettison envy, pull him or her down syndrome, bickering, wrangling and calumny against each other especially among the elites and political leaders.
