HRH Eze (Dr) Geoffrey Okoro, Oko 1 of Upe Ancient Kingdom, Ngor Okpala, Imo State has thumbed up the sagacity and the forthrightness of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Imo Chapter, the organisers of the just concluded Award Night held last Weekend in Owerri.
The Royal Highness who was physically present to witness proceedings including observing how one of the sons of Ngor Okpala, George Aluo, the Chairman, Nigeria National League (NNL) was honoured as the Association’s Sports Iconic Administrator of the Year said the award organisers did a good job to attract creme de la creme of the Sports fraternity.
Eze (Dr) Okoro appealed to Imo SWAN to make the event an annual celebration of sports icons who have impacted positively to Imo State and Nigeria in general.
He thanked Imo SWAN for deeming it worthy to honour the NNL Boss insisting that the Association was spot on in its recognition of Aluo whom he said has remained a core professional in all that he lays his hands on.
The Royal Father prays to God to continue to grant Aluo the wisdom to lead the NNL to greater heights while ensuring that he continues to maintain his friendly dispositions at all times.
