The Presidential primaries of APC billed for June 6-7 in Abuja has forced the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to shift her AGM and citizens Summit.
The NIPR summit initially billed for same date in Abuja would now hold August 23-24 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The governing council of NIPR in a statement noted that holding the Institute’s flagship program at the same time and place with the National Convention of a political party might create huge distractions, in addition to other inconveniences members and guests may go through.
“After a thorough consideration of the implications of the date clash for members and expected guests, the Council in its wisdom has decided to re-schedule the Summit and the Annual General Meeting for 23-24 August 2022. The new dates were chosen in the best interest of all. Any inconvenience caused by the change of date is hereby regretted,” the NIPR governing council stated.
