NPFL: No way, Rangers won’t go down, Ejindu assures as he boosts players morale with telephone call

United States of America based patron of Rangers International, Benson Ezeomeogo Ejindu (MVP) has declared that the team won’t go down as the NPFL abridged league comes to an end.
Ejindu disclosed that his confidence in the team escaping relegation stems from the assurances he got from the players via a telephone conversation on April 23 when they had four matches to go and they were in the 8th position.
“I reminded the players what Rangers represent. I reminded them that it would be an abomination for Rangers to go down. I made them realize that Rangers is not just any other club but a club that represents a nation. And as a way of motivation, I pledged to dole out a million Naira for every win in the first two games and half a million in the last two which brought the pledge to N3m. I am sure the boys won’t fail,” Ejindu said.
Ejindu also called on all supporters of the club to rally round the team insisting that the players need to feel the support of their teaming fans.
“Rangers have never been relegated since the club was formed in the early 70s after the Nigeria, Biafra war and it won’t happen now. That typical fighting spirit of the team would be re ignited. I am in touch with the team and I am solidly behind them. I want everybody to rally round them,” Ejindu concluded.
