Golden Boy backs inauguration of professional wrestling in Benin Republic

..Says African Pro- Wrestling will excel in the coming years

World renowned wrestler and founder of Golden Wrestling Federacy based in Florida United States of America, The Golden Boy Jim McDowell has thrown his weight behind plans to inaugurate professional wrestling in Benin Republic; saying that the initiative is in line with his organisation’s desire to make sure that the mats man game is practiced in all African countries.

Pro- Wrestling Africa, a body saddled with the responsibility of taking wrestling to all the nooks and crannies of the continent will on September 7, 2024 inaugurate the sports in Benin Republic.

The event which will be carried out by the Secretary General of the body, Olusesan Olukoya assisted by some Executive members is expected to set the tune for the spreading of wrestling gospel in that West African country and Golden Boy, a dentist by profession said he’s excited with the news.
” I’m really excited about the initiative of PWA in moving the wrestling train to Benin Republic which is coming few months after we collaborated with them to organise a training programme in Lome, Togo from March 1-3 this year.
” We at the GWF will continue to support the development of professional wrestling in Africa and am hopeful that in the nearest future, the game will excel more in the continent”, he stressed.
Meanwhile scribe of Pro- Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya has assured that the Benin Republic inauguration will help galvanize more interest on the sports in the West African Sub-region with a promise that they’re poised to making the game regain it’s lost glory as the second most followed sports in the continent after football.
