Peterside Idah: I’m ready to serve in NFF

Former Super Eagles goal keeper, Bishop Idah Peterside has declared that he is not only available but ready to serve in any capacity both at the national or state level if he is called upon by the authorities concerned in Nigeria Football.
Making this known while interacting with sports writers in Port Harcourt recently, Peterside said it has been his burning desire over time to come into the administrative football board to contribute his quota towards the upliftment of the game in the country.
“For me, it is high time people who have the passion, know the rudiments and politics of football are drafted into the system to help transform the game for positive results.”
“One won’t be bragging if as an ex international, former media officer of Super Eagles and Super Sports analyst I say that I am well equipped to serve Nigerian football administratively.”
The ebullient and highly respected man of God said he supports the IMC decision to play an abridged league this season insisting that it would go a long way in bringing some sanity to the domestic scene.
“Honestly, Nigeria football needs total over-hauling and it is only when people with pedigree and integrity are drafted in that things will change. I mean people who are ready to serve with a view to seeing how they can bring back the fading glory of our football.”
Peterside who is the head pastor of Christ Ambassadors Church Port Harcourt averred that the only way Nigerian football would have a breath of fresh air is for the league to be on television.
“If the league is on television, companies and individuals would invest in it. Clubs would have good money and the present situation where the game is not big business in the country would change. For now, we are running football like charity and not business.”
