Mixed Martial Arts Street fight holds Saturday

The second edition of mixed martial arts exhibition fight tagged state fight 2  put together by Warrior Sports Championship in conjunction with Ofu Entertainment Limited will hold on Saturday, October, 30 at the parking lot of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Organisers of the exhibition fight which is a prelude to the main event coming up on December, 4 this year where fighters from Brazil and Egypt are expected to storm the country and slug it out with their Nigerian counterparts in what promises to be the best mixed martial arts fight in the continent.
They listed some of the  fighters that will be in action on Saturday to include Onyemaechi Emmanuel who will face Ikenna Michael and Dooga Victor who will square up against Adibe Samuel just as Sadiq Mohammed will meet Gideon Emmanuel while Jane Osigwe and Juliet Chukwu will fight in the female category.
Sponsor of the tournament who also doubles as Chief Execute Officer of Ofu Entertainment Limited, Chief Ife Obiudo A.K.A Ofuonye said that his passion for combat sports made him go into the tournament to showcase what Nigerians are capable of doing promising that the main event will attract members of the diplomatic community, captains of industries and lovers of mixed martial arts.
Obiudo who is also South/East zonal representative on the board of the Kick Boxing Federation of Nigeria further explained that his target is to give talented youths opportunity to showcase themselves even as he posited that he’s looking forward to having many of the world best fighters in mixed martial arts coming to fight in Nigeria.
” We at Ofu Entertainment are organising the exhibition fight on Saturday to prepare Nigerians on what to expect on December, 4 when fighters from Brazil and Egypt will storm the country for the main event.
Face of the tournament Charles Okafor said he will support the genuine intension of the sponsor to make sports grow in the country; saying that Nigerians have what it takes to do it as it is done in other countries of the world just as he called for corporate partnership to make the sports grow.
He also announced that various prizes and gift items will be up for grabs at both competitions.
Technical Director of Warrior Sports Championship, Ikechukwu Nwobodo assured that adequate security and medical services have been planned for the two events. He noted that all those that will fight on Saturday and December will undergo comprehensive medical examination to ensure they’re fit and appealed to Nigerians to come out in their hundreds to be part of the tournament.
” We’re encouraged by the successes recorded in the last exhibition fight and we’ re staging this one to also create more awareness for the sports.
” Right now. we’rve put in place all logistics for a successful event. All medical and security arrangement have been put in place and we expect fans to troop out in their hundreds to be part of the fun,associated with mixed martial arts,” he concluded.
