Gov Otti hails NNL, says league standard very high

Abia State governor, Dr Alex Otti has given a pat on the Nigeria National League (NNL) declaring the standard of the league as very high.
Otti who spoke through the Abia state sports commissioner Hon Nwaobilor Ananaba during the NALCOMA pre season tournament decided yesterday at the Enyimba International Stadium said from what he saw NNL clubs can compete at the highest level of the nation’s domestic football.
“I m more than impressive with the quality of football played at the NALCOMA pre season tournament. The board of NNL is doing a good job and I want you to keep it up.”
Ananaba assured that Gov Otti would continue to support the second tier league and give Abia Comet all the needed backing to gain promotion to the elite class where they would be joining Enyimba and Abia Warriors.
Ananaba congratulated Owerri based Kun Khalifa for winning the maiden edition of the Gov Otti NNL pre season tournament that attracted six teams.
It woud be noted that the new NNL season is billed to kick off November 30 with the Star Match involving new comers Abakaliki FC and Madiba FC of Lagos.
