YULETIDE: MARCELLINUS AMADI GIFTS LARGESSE TO OVER 300 INDIGENT INDIGENES OF NGOR OKPALA.
As a way to celebrate this year’s Christmas, an Ngor Okpala- born businessman cum philanthropist, Chief Marcellinus Amadi on yesterday, 24th December, 2023 extended his hands of magnanimity and generosity to over 300 indigent women and widows in his community, Imerienwe in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State.
While presenting bags of rice and drinks to the widows, Chief Amadi noted that his act of benevolence was borne out of his desire to make positive impact in the lives of the less privileged people around him and not for political reasons.
He maintained that the kind gestures are for charity and strictly for those who fall in the category of the targeted beneficiaries.
He prayed God almighty to bless them and wished them merry Christmas and a prosperous happy new year in advance.
The beneficiaries couldn’t hide their feelings as tears of joy overwhelmed them, while they prayed for God Almighty to bless Chief Marcellinus and replenish his pocket in hundred folds.
Friends, family and associates of Chief Marcellinus such as Hon. Hector Okoroafor, Chukwudi Nwoko, Patrick Chigbu, Ekene Akuta, Comr.James Emeahu, Chidi Umezuruike among many others were on hand to witness epoch making event.
Rev. Fr. Frankline T.C Amadi, appreciated the donor, Chief Marcellinus, for his magnanimity, he noted that this kind gesture has been going on for the past ten years in the area .
He prayed God to endow Chief Marcellinus with more resources so as to reach out to more indigents in his locality.
Earlier, the star of the moment and a history maker, Chief Amadi, who spoke to our correspondent during the occasion, opined that he is passionate about helping people around him even from little of what he has.
He disclosed that the initiative has been on going for the past ten years and shared his vision of going on with the project, even beyond his immediate community.
