President of Nigeria Olympic Committee ( NOC) , Engr. Habu Gumel has Congratulated Chief Jonathan Nnaji, President of Nigeria’s Modern Pentathlon Federation, on his recent victory as the Vice President of the Africa Modern Confederation (CAPM).
Chief Nnaji emerged during the elective Congress of the African body at the election held in Saudi Arabia from November 15 -17, 2024.
In a statement released by Tony Nezianya, the PRO of NOC, the African countries in attendance during the elective Congress in Riyad, Saudi Arabia are Cote d’Ivoire, Namibia, Senegal, Central Africa Republic
and Kenya.
The world body of Modern Pentathlon is known as the Union of Modern International Pentathlon Federation.
This is made up of five sports. They are: Fencing, horse racing (jumping), shooting (Pistol shooting), Running. All as one sport, indeed an Olympic sport.
