NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has challenged the leadership of the Nigerian National League to make haste and secure sponsors or collaborators for the League which, he described as the most important league in Nigeria Football.
Gusau who was represented by Alhaji Baba Gana Kally an executive board member of NFF, made this remark while presenting a keynote address at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the NNL held in Bauchi.
The Federation Boss who said he is determined to leave the country’s football better than he met it, stressed that all efforts should be made to improve the game in the country.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of the Nigerian National League George Aluo said since his Board was inaugurated one year ago, they have succeeded in changing the face of the league, and promised to take it to a new level.
He said the overall standards of the league, ranging from the officiating, attitudinal behavior to the league operations have improved tremendously. He hoped that these would be replicated in the 2024/2025 League season.
The League Boss therefore solicited for the understanding of the all football stakeholders to smoothly prosecute the 2024/2025 League season.
The occasion was declared open by the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Honourable Anwalu Jatau.
